Strawberry Basil Baked Feta
Sweet & Savory Appetizer
So by now, I think it’s fair to say we’ve all grown familiar with the TikTok famous “baked feta pasta” trend (and I still want to try it!), but I felt like making a sweet version of this savory dish!
Enter… Strawberry Basil Baked Feta! This appetizer is served alongside a sliced + toasted French baguette and drizzled in a balsamic glaze.
While the trending baked feta recipe calls for mixing the feta with other ingredients, strawberries tend to leave behind quite a bit of water when baked. For this reason, I decided to serve it crostini style with feta + slice of baked strawberry + basil + balsamic glaze. I even took a ladle and attempted to remove as much water as I could - so you may choose to do this as well to make it easier for serving. OR you can simply keep a slotted spoon in the dish for serving and avoid the issue completely! Just know… there will be water in the bottom of the dish from the strawberries, but if you can get past that, you’ll find a deeeelish appetizer!
