Garlic Lemon Chive Bean Dip

Garlic Lemon Chive Bean Dip

Looking for a last minute dip to bring to an Easter brunch this weekend? Or going to a party soon and you've been volunteered to be on dip duty?

Forego that bean dip at the grocery store with questionable ingredients and whip this up at home! Everyone is sure to be surprised when they find a homemade dip accompanied by warm pita bread, and lucky for you, it takes about 10 minutes to prepare!

Perfect for a light snack or appetizer and the added protein and fiber from the cannellini beans gives it a little extra *umph*

Now, as long as it took you to read that is about how long this recipe takes to make... so lets get started, shall we?

Garlic Lemon Chive Bean Dip

Yields about 2 cups dip

Prep time: 10 minutes

What you’ll need:

  • 2 (15 oz) cans organic Cannellini beans

  • 1 clove garlic

  • 2 Tbsp fresh chives, chopped

  • 1/8 cup + 1 Tbsp avocado oil (can also use olive oil)

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • 3 Tbsp lemon juice

  • Salt + Pepper (fresh ground if possible, I like extra pepper)

What to do:

  1. Add all ingredients to a food processor

  2. Blend/pulse for about 3 minutes, until creamy and fully combined

  3. Pour it into a bowl and serve with warmed pita bread slices or crackers and veggies (*choose gluten free crackers if looking to make this recipe completely gluten free)

Simple, yet oh so tasty! I look forward to hearing your thoughts!
